The Fair was designed to highlight the prominence of these firms in our community, and to invite students to learn more about the advantages that speaking German can bring them. |
6:00—8:00pm | German Culture Night | International House, Great Room | Think you are an expert on German music? Know all the words to Rammstein's Du Hast? Can you nail the solo of Rock You Like A Hurricane on guitar? Schon gut, but do you also know the beat to every Die Fantastischen Vier song? Or can you sing along to Durch Den Monsun from Tokio Hotel? If not, maybe you will after the German Music Night at the International House. We'll play all the German hits – the ones you know and the ones you don't – and eat some fantastic authentic German food. As if that wasn't enough, we'll also have some short talks about Germany and German culture. What's more, admission is only $5. It doesn't get better than that. So rock on, and we'll see you there. Come find out why Europeans love Currywurst (Sausage with Curry Sauce), Bratkartoffeln (Baked Potato with Onions) Linsensuppe (German Lentil Soup), Zuccini -Gemüse (a Zucchini dish for vegetarians/ people who don't eat pork), Kaiserschmarren mit Apfelmus (a sweet pancake dessert with apple sauce), and Schorle (an mixed drink Apple Juice and Sarkling Water) Admission to this event is $5.00 (including the meal!). |
